A New Direction to Guide Public Health Decision-Making

La Guajira has taken a significant step in the field of research and public health with the creation of Brújula, the first Center for Research, Innovation, and Health and Well-being Observatory. This initiative, led by Iliana Curiel Arismendy as a fellow from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in the Master’s program in Social Policies, promises to set a benchmark in public health approaches for the region. Its comprehensive approach, based on precise and objective data, aims to direct efforts towards a promising future for La Guajira’s population, especially children, youth, and adolescents.
